I am writing a book. I have the document on my dell computer and I want to transfer it to my blackberry so that I can work on it while I'm not at home. Is there a way that I can do this without buying the full version of word to go? Btw, I'm using word 2007.

Yes you can edit it with the standard version of word to go if its a .doc file. You can try to email yourself the file or if its too large you can hook up usb and do it that way and put it on your media card. On another note if you want to create new .doc files using your blackberry, simply create a blank .dco file on your pc and email it to yourself.
