For the Verizon Blackberry 8330 - when I push "L" during a phone call there's an icon that appears on the screen - it has a stair step up, push "L" again then the stair steps down, push "L" again and it goes away. No info on this shortcut in the user manual. Anyone have an answer? Thanks!

it's a new feature for OS4.5 and up for tuning the earpiece audio during a call. treble enhance, bass enhance, and no enhance are the modes you're stepping thru.

That is the audio boost feature. Press the trackball after you see it, and you can adjust bass and treble for sound quality.

4.3 had a lot of features now found in 4.5 as 4.5 superseded 4.3's evolution. for those of us who never got a 4.3 build, this is considered new.
