So I am somewhat new to the blackberry curve and have never been able to get my alerts working right after the upgrade to .160 or sometime around there idk.

So what happens is when i set my profile to loud or normal I will not get my text alerts all the time. my phone simply will not go off. Sometimes i will get called and my phone will only vibrate. I don't have any individual caller ids setup and i made sure that i changed the "in holster" and "out of holster" i don't use a holster that shouldn't matter but i still changed it.

I don't know what to do?

I searched the forums didn't see anything on this. If there is a link please redirect me and sorry but i did not see one.

Any ideas?

Would SMS popup effect any of this?

Messed up alert profiles is a known problem with .160. Use one of the hybrid OSs that have .131 files to get rid of your problems.

Actually, it is blackngrays hybrid that has the fix for the profiles bug in .160.
