Hi, I use BlackBerry Desktop Manager to sync Outlook 2002 with my BlackBerry Curve 8330. I sync about 6,000 contacts. I use the categories feature in Outlook to allow me to filter contacts on the blackberry. Everything was working fine until recently. I am having trouble finding certain contacts if no filter is selected.
I used to be able to un-check all filters and I could find any contact by typing a few letters of name or company name. Now, I can't find many contacts unless I have filter applied to a category to which the desired contact belongs.
For example:
1) I Uncheck all filters
2) Search for "American" results in no results
3) Check filter for "Cook County"
4) Search for "American" results in multiple records
As a workaround I am assigning all of my contacts to a category called "All Contacts" so hopefully I can filter to that category and find any contact.
