    Hey,

So I upgraded my 8330 to 4.5.0.89 and I want to go back to .77 which is what my phone came with.

Upgrading didn't fix any of my problems and my facebook app doesn't seem to work properly anymore. I figured I'd just reverse the steps I took to upgrade, I backed up my software and then told it to upgrade to .77

I didn't read that I had to Add / Remove the .89 upgrade before starting to downgrade. Now my Blackberry Desktop Manager is stuck at "Downloaded Modules 222 of 245" and won't respond.

I've tried clicking cancel but it doesn't work, any idea what I should do?

If you decide to disconnect the BB from the usb you will end up w/a dead BB.

Use add/remove programs to remove your .89 OS from your computer, then download and install the .77 OS.

Follow the links in my sig on how to recover a dead BB, or loading an OS on a nuked BB to get your BB back.

How about giving the .131 OS a shot? It's better than .77, .89, and .97 IMO.

I pulled the cable and my BB is fine, it was downloading .77 I think and ran into an error because I uninstalled the web update portion of the software as instructed by the .89 update.

I'm downloading BBY desktop software and reinstalling, I think that'll do it.

Is .131 really worth a shot? My only problem with .77 is that standby didn't work properly

.131 is great, no reported issues. Best of all for a lot of users is it got rid of the speakerphone blast.

The OS is fast and responsive, and battery life is good.
