New to the site and appreciate any help I can get.
My phone is working fine. I can get to the main menu and use the knob to scroll around but can't make calls or use any applications it won't let me. it's like its locked for some reason.
Is the device brand new?
If not, from where did you get it?
How long have you had it?
Has it EVER worked?
What OS version is on the device?
Is there an IT policy on the device?
Also, you first say that the "phone is working fine" then you say that you "can't make calls". I'm confused. ??
I took battery out and had it reload to the home screen and none of the keys work from there.
I have NO idea the OS it is the default OS.
Worked fine for over a year then today just froze.
NO idea on the IT policy.
I have the warranty from Verizon. I guess i may need to take it back there tomorrow.
Ah, now you added the detail that "the keys" aren't working.
Sounds like moisture damage on the keyboard contacts.
Has the device been exposed to moisture? Even a little TINY bit?
Steamy bathroom, sweaty pocket, wet hands, wet hair, dew, other high humidity environment?
The Curve keyboard is very sensitive to moisture.
And if you have had it for "over a year", I hope that you have insurance rather than just the regular warranty.
Just a note: If you are on Verizon, then you have the 8330 not the 8310.
