I deleted some apps, such as FB, Twitter, FLicker, I never use them. Now my stats are this:

    File Free: 1860545

I have 1.7 MB but before I deleted the apps, I had 2.6!

Media Card: free space is: 895.1 MB

    So ~

    I have a BB Curve 8330 ~ brand new!

The included Twitter, Facebook, etc "apps" are only launchers, they use up hardly any space. The memory must have been filled with something else after you deleted them if it's decreased.

There are no texts, emails, nothing! I deleted tons of them yesterday due to hourglassing ~

Now I keep it clean and empty!

To find hidden icons, hit your BB menu button, then press it again and scroll down to "show all"

If you're referring to user info for the phone - it's in >options >owner then edit the info you want

Hit your username in a post, click "View public profile" then scroll down to "About me" and click the pencil icon next to the thing you want to edit.

I suggest you wipe your phone using BBSAK, and then reloading the OS or a hybrid.

    Dr ~

Now it is 19.5! This is good yes? I deleted all those apps, and then took out the battery and now it is better.

Would you still wipe and reload the OS?

Yes, that is good but I would wipe it and load up a hybrid. I have Pandora, Facebook, Sprint Navigation, BlackBerry App World, Bolt, BBM, Capture It, 5 games(BrickBreaker, Ka-Glom, Bubble Popper XXL, Jumbles, Absolute Tris), and Docs To Go Premium. After a battery pull I get 25 MBs with all those apps which is 5.5 MBs higher then what you have with no apps. Trust me, you should make the jump to a hybrid.

Just remember when if you decide to try a different theme, those icons for what apps you deleted will reappear.

Another thing you can do is clear out your event log and also the cache in the browser to help maintain the optimum level of performance on your BB

Check out Shrink-A-OS before you reload. On most of the 8330s I've done, they start out with over 40MB free on a basic minimal install.

I dont have a shrinked op system, have tons of apps and never get below about 30mb. Battery pulls will help you get back lost memory. Still seams low, when mine didnt have many apps I had around 45mb memory .

Wonder why it's low? I have never bought one app or downloaded one. Or anything!

Maybe Boost phones come preloaded with alot more. Hook it up to blackberry desktop manager an see if there is any fat you can trim.

Oh. Good idea! And I just found the CD that came with it. If I hook it up to see what to trim, I hope you come back to tell me which ones!
