I've been playing the music on my BB in my car by plugging in an audio wire between the headphone jack on my BB and my car stereo. I have problems using my bluetooth when I do this. If something is plugged into the headphone jack it disables the bluetooth and routes the phone audio to the external speaker on the BB. So to use my bluetooth and listen to my music in my car I must unplug the audio wire every time a call comes in or to make a call, otherwise the bluetooth is disabled. Weird part is the BB indicates the bluetooth connection is always maintained.

Have you looked at the motorlla bluetooth car stereo device?
That may fit your needs better?

No I haven't but will. I assumed it was an issue or setting within the Blackberry and not the bluetooth.
