I've read elsewhere on the boards that you can play music while in standby mode. My music always turns off if i enter standby mode. I've tried manually putting it in Pause, then hit the mute button to enter standby which would simultaniously unpause it, and it plays for a bit and then when it enters standby a few seconds later it stops playing.
The mute key is to mute the mic input when you are on the phone. Just like, when you press the mute button while on a call, it doesn't mute the earpiece audio...that's why i expect it to work, because its not like the mute button on your tv remote control.
No, the music doesn't play when you press the standby key. It also does not play when you put your bb in a holster with a magnet because that does the same thing, puts the phone into standby and saves the battery power, so no music.
