    I have a new 8310.

once a week, the phone shuts down; I have to remove the battery and insert it again to be able to switch the phone on.

Does anyone have the same problem?

    Thanks for your help.

I had a similar problem, Curve was shutting down during a call, and hourglass would show up after pulling battery or plugging into a power source. T-Mobile provided a replacement phone (front part only, used existing battery and back cover). Problem remained. Tried a replacement battery and the phone is back to normal and working great.

I would guess one of the programs you installed is causing this to happen
