    My father just got a new Blackberry curve 8310. For some reason he doesn't have a Personal Email set up icon for him to add his email. How do you get that icon?

    Sounds like he might not have a BlackBerry data plan added to his service.

    He needs to call the carrier and make sure he has the data plan, as I speak from expierence. they may just need his IMEI # or something small like that. Thats usually the case if the phone was bought second-hand

    If the proper data plan is on the account, there should be a "Set up Internet E-mail" icon in the applications icon list. It is possible that the icon is hidden. And if that is the case, press menu and select Show All, to display any hidden icons.

    You could try registering the device. GO to Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Press Menu > Choose Register Now. Wait a bit, then see if you have the icon.
