Im new to the BB world. Just bought a used curve last Sunday.....

Im coming from the WinMo platform and in that, there is a concept of Peak and Off Peak hours. You can set your phone in the Peak hours to recive the mail immediatly, and manually in the off Peak hours. So you can set your phone to be in "off peak" hours at night and have a peacful nights' sleep.

Is there such an option on the 8330?

Nope, but you can go to Options>Security Options> Firewall and enable that to not receive messages, or you can set your Auto On/Off setting and power it down during sleep hours.

Just set up an audio profile to not alert when emails come in and use that profile at night or whenever you don't want to be alerted. The messages will still come in but you will not be disturbed.
