    I purchased a used Verizon 8330. It came with a 4.3 OS.

I downloaded the 8330 .119 OS, installed it, I launched DM and got the phone connected. I exited DM and ran CrackMem.... loaded the .119 OS and removed the vendor.xml and other items I did not want installed. CrackMem launched DM when I was finished. DM upgraded the Curve, however .119 did not install.. .77 was installed.

While upgrading the OS, I noticed that it was downloading modules ... I am assuming it was Verizon's stock modules and not the .119 OS.

    What did I do wrong??

How can I tell exactly what OS version I am installing? All I see is 4.5 ..... I cant tell if its .77 or .119

CrackMem willtell you which OSs are installed on your PC.

If you are running Desktop Manager 4.7 then it will try to install the latest released OS via the internet. The best thing to do is to get rid of DM 4.7 and put 4.6 back. You can also unplug your internet connection before you start DM or you can try this http://www.blackberryforums.com/gene...-xml-file.html

Me, I'd go for DM 4.6 every time.

I did not disconnect from the net.... thats why .77 got pushed down instead of installing .119

All is well got .119 installed ... thanks!
