is it really nessesarry to upgrade my bb's OS...
can someone tell me the new features and the perks that come with the upgrade...

and can someone tell me what to do after i back up my files....whats the next step to putting the new OS on my bb. because after i back up my bb i read the instructions to upgrade it and i get comlpletly lost .

2) If you do not understand the process, please read up on it before you even attempt it! Or you will end up making another thread because your Berry is "dead"

i have a BB8310 with gps, upgradeted and the GPS gone,,,What can i do or is a special OS for GPS???

its not really necessary, unless you really really want it...
im still running 4.2 and i've decided not to mess with it until my at&t decides to release, we dont know yet when that will be, i guess we will have to see.

As far as the OP's question, it is definitely not necessarily. And I would not recommend upgrading if you are unfamiliar with the process, and I'm guessing you are if you are unaware of whether it is even necessary, and what pros and cons come along with upgrading.
