Is there an OS 5.0 version that is for the Curve from Verizon? If so, how does it perform compared to 4.5? Is there any real benefit to updating or is it going to make my device slower and eat up more memory? I know the Blackberry site has an update for 5.0 for the Curve but I want to make sure it's going to make my device better and not worse and that it works on the Verizon Curve. Thanks!

Yes there are 5.0's but they are terrible in the stock form.
If you want 5.0 on your curve snag up a hybrid like I did.
Also you'll have to use 5.0 only apps and themes.
So you'll have to use 8520/8530 themes and most likely apps.

If you'd like to check out a hybrid (which is what you'll need) then go here
Nathanix Blackberry Resource - Home of the Hybrids

    Enjoy, I love it.

Also the 5.0.0.230 works real good and got it from the operating systems(OS beta and Hybrid) forum here on CB . I have a vzw 8330 , the only thing I did was shrink it before installing .It does take up more space I only have about 29,000,000 bytes of space(free files) left.
