Hmmm... whatever happened to the 8320? Does anyone have anything on this?

The info. was that the 5.0 OS was too bloated to run on the 83XX series which has 32MB less memory than the 8330 to start with.

I tend to believe this, since even after shrinking OS 5.0, I only had twenty-something MBs of file free memory. With OS 4.5, I run above 45MB of file free memory.

And did shrinking OS 5 work on the 8320 if you tried it?

It's not compatible with the 8320.

Does any of the upgrades let you free more memory on the 8320

Use Shrink a OS to get rid of all the unnecessary stuff in your OS to gain free memory on your BB.

    OS 5 for the 8320.

    OS 5 for the 8320?

    OS 5 for the 8320!

Nope, probably won't happen. Likely we may get the new browser to go with BBM 5, but the core apps are just getting too big for 64 MB of memory. As much as I am a latest and greatest type of guy, I'd say that I can live without OS 5 until my next BB.

Its way to big to run on the 8310/20 series.. way to big, even after shrinking your OS, it would barely run,
