ricvic961... I've only had my BB for just over a month or so. The official upgrade was my 2nd time I did an upgrade. If you feel like your ready to do it, it's worth doing. Just read the directions on how to upgrade, also upgrade DM to v.4.6 1st 7 go for it!!
4.5 is a huge improvement. For starters, you will have a movie camera but there are other important improvements that are well documented on this site.
