Old Habits are Hard to Break, my first blackberry. Sync questions
- I have been on windows mobile forever!! But was attracted to the blackberry for email and communication. My old treo was hard to navigate. So far (as of day 3) i love the 8830 Curve from sprint.
I am currently working at microsoft (don't worry, just a contract job) and will be opening a business in November. I am used to windows mobile syncing to exchange and if i ever had problems with my phone i didn't lose my data because it was stored on an exchange server.
I currently have a hotmail and gmail account. I really don't care what my email address and am completely clueless on the blackberry server. But is there a way to "over the air" sync my contacts, calendar, and emails with a service?
I am sorry if I sound like a noob, but I am one..08-01-08 02:49 PMLike 0 - If you are going to use Hotmail or Gmail then you need to set them up using the wizard on your phone. From that point forward you will get new messages to your BB but please note your BB is not WM device and it wont sync all your old mail messages to your phone for either account. As for calendar and contacts your best bets are GoogleSync for your calendar (will sync google calendar and BB calendar and for your contacts is your PC (using DM to OutLook) as on with either a BIS or BES you cannot OTA sync contacts.08-01-08 03:36 PMLike 0
