    What changes the formatting of the screen? For example the look of the icons...like on the 8330 the icons look cartoonish but on the tour they are in block form with a blue hue in the back of the screen...is that change just due to the O.S. ??? Or do the changing of themes play a role in this?

    That is done by themes. There's some cool ones around here, some are even free. Give them a try.
