it seems the past 2 or so days when Im using my BB to much (I guess )... it randomly shuts off, like goes blank and a red light is constantly on...

is that shutting down? what cuases that? im mostly on my im-yahoo and bbm and texting. is there such thing as to much on it?

Have you updayed the OS or anything, are you using any IM third party apps?

just yahoo is the only other 3rd party app.

you might try a battery pull and also if you have a media card installed try removing it from ur handheld and see if this fixes the complaint .

That is plenty of free file, sounds like something you have installed is causing a conflict and rebooting for you.

someone told me that a pullout should be done once a day. is that true?

battery pulls should not have to happen once a day...more like once a week at the most. you must have a 3rd party app installed that has a memory leak.
