    Howdy everyone,

So every spec sheet I look for on the RIM 8310 red curve says it supports usb 2.0, yet whenever I transfer to my memory card (8GB) i get usb 1.0 speeds.

I'm on the ATT network running OS 4.5.0.81, and I've been using the phone for a few months and have always had usb 1.0 speeds.

Any input would be appreciated, thanks!

Are you connecting to a USB 2.0 port or USB 1.0 port.

its a usb 2.0 port, same i use for my digital camera, and same cable too.

Connect it to another USB 2.0 port, the problem surely isn't the Curve itself.

i've tried multiple computers and multiple ports that i am positive are usb 2.0, just as i would with my usb flash drives and cameras using the same usb cables.

i usually end up resorting to taking out the microsd card from my phone, plugging that into a multi-card reader and using that to send/receive files with speed.

i have a friend's 8330 right here next to me, using the same computer / port / cable, and is getting usb 2.0 speeds. i even tried swapping his microsd card into mine, just to keep everything the same. the problem now lies with the phone...what gives? should i update the OS?

BB's (at least my 8320) are not USB 2.0 devices. The first time I connected to USB I thought it was slow. Made sure I had it connected to my Adaptec USB 2.0 card and my PC and then ran Adaptec's little USB monitor program. It identified my BB as a 1.0 Device.
