I am still new to bb but every time i receive a mms,i have to do a soft reset in order to hear anything when i make or receive a call. getting to be a real pain to pop cover off remove battery and then wait. I called verizon and they said they knew about problem and rim was working on it. I could try updatig phone some how but i don't know how to do that. any help

Common problem. Activate your voice activated dialing before receiving or making a new call and that will reset the audio. Currently there is no other work around. What OS are you running?

THis is known issue with VZW BB device on OS 4.3, you can reset the device or activate voice dialing and cancel it.

THe only other option for a good fix is to upgrade to OS 4.5.

where do i find what os i am running and does upgrades change a lot.

it does say 4.3 so is upgrade worth it. and where do i get it.

Research how do it before you attempt to do it. Recommend you update you desktop manager as well. 4.5 can be gotten at BlackBerry® Software Updates

Yes you did this why you should learn a bit first, poke around here. Also if you get though to VZW TS, they can walk you through the upgrade and prep of your computer.
