I find it hard to believe that it would take 8 weeks to get a replacement phone from Bell Mobility. The story is that RIM is unable to supply Bell with the Curve and therefore the warranty replacement is backordered. I can go to a Bell store and purchase a curve but I can't have one for warranty. Can anyone confirm this and is this a common problem for RIM or is Bell lying to me. No screen sucks.

Probably because they'll only give you a refurbished one and not a brand new one.

    Welcome to CrackBerry.

Your profile indicates you are using an 8310 which is a GSM device. Bell supports CDMA and the 8330 Curve.

The 8330 is quite new and it may be in short supply. Still, I would expect Bell to have a reserve on hand for warranty replacements.
