8830 running 4.2.2.196. just recently reinstalled os, have changed all the backlight settings, tried putting my hand over the sensor, no keyboard light, no trackball light.but the screen does dim or brighten with the sensor. i know it works, its worked before........ any help would be awesome...thanks
tried that, it was working when i first got it, i went to upgrade the os, it bricked up flashing the red led twice, 2 sec. pause,and repeating. i used the article how to fix a nuked blackberry to fix it, then restored my data, then later i noticed no keyboard light.
