I recently was given an "orphaned" Verizon branded (CDMA) 8330. Not much history is known about it. It looks to be in great shape other than missing the battery and compartment back. I have no problem ordering the parts. If this phone works, what are my options? Can it be used as a "prepaid" Verizon phone? Does it need to be "Flashed"?,,,,(does this mean unlocked?) I am presently "not" in contract with any carrier. Economy is paramount.
Is Verizon my only option?
If you notice the picture, I'm not sure if everything looks correct. While I know this phone will not use a SIM, does it look 100%.

All opinions welcomed!

It does say 8830, but the 8330 has the same rules applied to it.
