I've gotten this message twice when trying to load apps via DM. Since I don't have a data plan, I download the zip files, unzip them, and go through the Application Loader procedure, but when I double-click the alx file, I get the above message.

BTW, both apps were allegedly supported by my Curve 8310.

    What gives ya reckon?

If, after reading and implementing the above, you still get the same error message, check to make sure you are running the most current version of DM (check the RIM site)

Well, that was strange. I read the posted instructions, but scratched my head since I had already done those things and in fact have successfully installed two or three apps via app loader in DM.

However, like a good soldier I checked and lo and behold the device OS was NOT on my PC. Don't know how that happened, but since I had downloaded it some time ago, I simply reinstalled it and taa daa: worked like a charm.

    Thanks for the link!

Well done. I find that scratching various bits of my body often causes my brane to start working too. It happens to the best of us.
