This update can be applied to ANY Curve 8300 (will not work with 8310, 8320, 8330) as long as you delete the vendor.xml file before upgrading your OS. Just follow the instructions by the OP and you should be fine.
This update works great for me. No issues with the media player as another poster had mentioned. Patiently waiting for OS 5.0 to come out! Anyone know of an OS 5.0 beta for the 8300? I know there's one out there for the 8310.
II have the 8310 from ATT. I've downloaded the newest desktop and device software today. Both downloads went smoothly. However, when I try to download the new device software to my Blackberry I first get a message that says "Application Loader requires BB Device Mrg. be installed" and then a box that says "Checking for Device Application Updates". It appears to be seaching but nothing has happened for the past hour. I'm not a real techie so if someone can explain how to get this software downloaded in very simple terms I'd really appreciate it. THANKS!
my mom has a 8300 with at&t and when she did the upgrade she can no longer open PDF files. this is very important for her since she owns her own business can anyone give me any advice on this? please and thank you.
