Hi there, i have just purchased an 8310. I have contacted my service provider and have changed my billing plan to be configured for the BB. I have registered my yahoo.co.uk account with the o2 BB BIS site, however no emails get sent to my BB at the mo, am i just silly?

Also dont know if this is a knock on effect, i cant pick up any BB maps.

Mine came through instantly but it said it can take up to half hour, how long has it been??

Also go to the BIS site and resend your service books, that may help.

    Hope this helps.

It takes a while for the changes on your account to provision. Once the provisioning is finished it will be fine. This can take anywhere from a half hour upwards to 48hrs!

Give it time, also make sure on the BIS website that it says the account is "valid"

can recieve and send texts and calls and pic messages fine. i am only picking up gprs at the mo and not edge if that makes a difference.

also when i go into the wizard for email setup, it only gives me 2 options, 1 for using an enterprise server (which is the one for businesses) or to skip it. There is no BIS option available

mmmmmmm strange, sounds like as your getting calls and texts OK it's a DATA issue.

    Long shot but go to:

MANAGE CONNECTIONS - MOBILE NETWORK OPTIONS - and make sure DATA services are set to yes.

Really don't know about the non BIS only BES thing.

    There is no stupid questions

I am stumped def sounds like a carrier issue to me maybe one of the experts can suggest something else soon.

I would give them another call, I don't know about O2 but orange have a specialist tech centre number different number to the reugular one, se if your provider has this also and give them a call

    Good luck
