I just finished installing this new OS from AT&T and unlocking the themes. Not sure what the fixes are but I no longer need the calander patch with this version.

    https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...E4F82F9F00E7D4

    Then select 8300 Curve

Let me know if you find out what this version fixes or changes

p.s. This was the first time I have updated the software or unlocked the themes and this takes a while

Hmm I'm wondering if that may address the slight memory leak, I cant test it though, mine dont have the leak lol

Nothing changed. I installed it yesterday on mine and then tried to unlock a couple themes. Almost bricked my phone and it's not my first dance as far as unlocking themes. I went back to .89 and everythings running the same.

So far only thing I have noticed is that my Curve runs a little faster. There is not any hesitation going through all the menus. Anyone else notice anything? Has anyone heard if OS 4.3.x.xxx will come out and when? That OS looks to have more updates than anying I have read about.

I noticed this too; Everything is faster. Loading websites, third party apps, menus, etc. The only thing that isn't faster is changing directories on the memory card.

Even scrolling between icons is different. It seems smoother & quicker.

I installed the new OS package for the AT&T 8300 and so far it is working fine. The install went smoothly and I havent had any problems. I havent noticed anything 'new' either.

I installed last night ... have noticed everything to be running a little faster as well ... did have one slight issue though ... my BB Messanger wouldnt restore itself after install ... had to play with it for a while before a restore on it would take effect ...

I Just Downloaded It And The Only Thing I Have To Say Is That Patiance Is Required, It Took For Ever To Go Thru The Second "wait For Device To Initialize". Other Than That I Also Noticed The Diff. In The Speed.

I'm installing it now... the installer's status bar is full as if it's complete, but it's been setting there for about 20 minutes now with only the option to cancel. I'm gonna let it hang for a while longer and see what happens...

How long did it take for it to finish the installation? It was going on 45 minutes when I finally cancelled it. Maybe I'll try again later.

3 hr's for each one on average here but that's because I didn't clear out the purged messages/call logs/etc first from the Exec's and then had to reactivate on the BES server for each one.

Ok, didn't think it would take that long. I'll just have it run tonight.
