Instructions for installing on ANY carrier's 8310:
1. Make sure you have the latest version of Desktop Manager installed. https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...93E4F3BB068C22
2. Download the above file to the PC then install it to the PC by running the file you downloaded.
3. Locate the vendor.xml file and delete it. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader
4. Plug in BB and Open Desktop Manager. You should be prompted to upgrade.
If not, open app loader to initiate upgrade. The process takes about 30-60 minutes.
Enjoy!
Should be much better than 4.5.0.37 from Vodafone Germany
AG, I have not d/l but if i click to d/l it says file size is 78.7. Does it say the same for you? I would attempt to d/l but I'm on my work PC and not allowed to. Can anybody else try and verify whether they can d/l or not.
Thanks. Post back when done just so we know there are no issues with d/l entire file. Many people have already installed on BBF's and they say it works great.
any idea on the changes? im just looking for it to load up quicker than 37, i change phones a lot for my job and cannot be doing with the 5 min wait. m sure this will be quicker
The biggest fix from .37 is browser issue. Many could not post on forums with .37. Also .44 should fix a lot of java.lang errors from the previous version. I ran the beta and it was definately better than Vodafone .37
Yes you can record videos. I only ran this beta version(not the official) for a couple of days and I had no issues. Much better than the previous release. I am running beta .52 bug free so I will not downgrade to this official release. I will wait for At&t's official OS.
Just did the upgrade..no issues and everything looks great. Love the font and the way the apps look in the new version. Just too bad BB still hasn't done anything with threaded sms...that's something I miss from my Treo 750

Just a quick question for you. Have you noticed your ringtones when the phone rings is lower in volume?
