The little yellow envelope in the top lefthand corner of the display is indicating I have 2 new messages, but I don't. I erased all my messages yet it still says I have 2. It has said this since last night. I did a couple of soft resets and that didn't cure it. I sent service books. That didn't cure it.

Do I just need to do a battery pull? Or is there another solution?

Check all your folders, your messages folder AND your email folder...its not going to be cured till you find those messages if they are still indicating as new. Missed calls etc..

I would recommend doing a battery pull. That usually makes it go away.

I have my messages and email folders combined and there are no messages in there. I even went and checked the email folder and it is empty.

I don't have missed calls sent as messages but I do voice mails. Everything is clear. This problem just popped up last night.

Id check voice mail again, I've often found this to be the case with mine.

I had a voice mail but I checked it and deleted it but the "2 new messages" is still there. When I get a new message, it will go to 3, but once I delete the new one, it still says I have 2 new ones.

Did you check your Saved Message folder?

If you haven't, press menu while in your email folder, then select view folder. This will bring up all your folders to check.

go to the top date of your messages folder, and press menu>mark prior opened.

That was it....I must have hit save message instead of delete last night at the bar...thanks for the help.
