    Perhaps the best approch would be correcting the problems you have encountered with v4.5xx. How do you define melted?

    If that is not practical, most carriers provide links for both the original and upgraded OS on the BlackBerry download site.

    Sprint's 4.3.127 will work. Just delete the vendor.xml file!

    Yea, I wiped out the OS accidently and I needed the older version to deal with my carrier since they only support 4.3 at this time.
