    Hey guys. Got my dad a curve 8310 for work purposes. We have his office email setup but I have a few questions....

    I also have a blackberry at work but it runs through an enterprise server. I am able to update everything over the air with no problem.

    Question is this - even though my dad doesnt go through an enterprise server, is there any way that his calendar, contacts, etc can update over the air with him having to always plug his phone into his computer? Thanks for all the help guys.

    No, unfortunately this is a part of BES, not BIS.

    BIS = BlackBerry Internet Server

    This is what most of us here use for our emails. It is provided by the carrier. It costs about $20 monthly.

    There is an app here BBerrysync - OTA Sync that will do OTA syncing but it costs to buy and then $4 per month. The easiest way, by far is, what we all do. Plug in the USB cable.
