If you have the language support package installed then its just a matter of selecting the language as your default in Options. At that point you have access to any non ASCII characaters (sorry a bit nerdy). For instance if you wanted to type in spanish (because that's all I have installed to get the letter � I hold down the n key and move my trackball till the right letter comes up.
To install the package load up DM and go to add/remove software and there should be a list of lanages under Language Support.

I am afraid is not as simple as choosing a language option.
The problem is, your carrier uses CDMA cellular technology. This technology is used in North America only. The Multi-language package available to you contains only the languages commonly used in North America.
Trigcom Norway and the rest of Europe use GSM technology. The European multi-language package does, but there is no way to use it on your device.
