I've had my 8330 about 6 months. Last week I got "beep" at about 3am. Checked phone. No message,text,alarm,call, etc. Nothing! Since then, every morning between 10:45am and 11:15am I get the same alert. I now turn off the phone at bedtime so I don't know if the alerts are coming at night.
I am getting the same thing. I even went through all the ringtones and can't find the same one that goes off. Mine goes off at different times. Once was 11:11am, the others have been at 4:00pm, 5:00pm, and 2:00 am. Nothing displays on the screen at all. Happens once or twice a day.
Mine was doing the same thing. I removed my subscription to Accuweather and it has not done it since. Do you have the app too?
PS - I thought it was the updated OS or Skype or ???, but somebody suggested it was the weather app, so I removed it...YMMV.
There is another thread I just read. I belive it is linked to something new with teh Accuweatehr app. I have had mine for a while and it just recently started doing the same notification. May have to delete the app if every time it updates the weather it notified. Kind of annoying.
Ok, I have the icon for AccuWeather but it isn't listed in my applications. So how can I get it removed. This mysterly alert is getting really annoying.
