Don't feel too bad about it, maybe you could have been more careful, but I have heard bad things about gym lockers, too. Bottom line is you were the victim, so you had insurance, good for you - your loss was minimized. Let's hope the thief (the bad guy in this story) isn't able to victimize anyone else through Craigs List.
So you know, I pay for insurance too. There are months I wouldn't be able to come up $495 without some real pain . I like the peace of mind. I'm sure mathmatically it doesn't make sense, but that's OK because for me it does,

I totally agree! However, once my contract is up and I am not upgrading to a new phone right away, I remove the insurance.

What do you mean that you call the number to deactivate? Was that just so that they won't be able to make phone calls or sent message? What happens to all your personal info that was on the phone? I'm just asking incase this were to happen to me. When I use to have my treo, I had a program called teallock. If I were to loose my phone I can send a text saying to destroy all info on it. Is there something similar for the blackberry?
Yes it will wipe the memory after ten or less ,depending on your settings, wrong tries.
And YES how about some more info on this samecell please???????

I have not read through all the posts, so this may have been mentioned before, but once you recover your phone, or get a new phone, an invaluable application to have is Get It Back. It has GPS coordinates and you can even lock your phone remotely rendering it useless to whoever took it. Here is the link:
