for some reason my 3 month old 8310 has started locking up and the only way to get it back is a battery pull. usually when I check a message or go to reply to a message

    I have 27,046,012 free memory

running apps: PTT (don't have PTT), call log, home screen, browser, messages

    use yahoo messenger

GPS location is set to off

    bluetooth disabled

    no new apps

    thanks,
    bob

What do you mean by locking up? Like the keyboard lock?

I mean I can't do anything, scroll ball doesn't work, can't make calls, menu button doesn't work, can't turn off the BB. It is frozen, locked up, inoperable, I can do nothing on it until I pull the battery

Give us a list of 3rd party apps you're running...

Sometimes a BB will freeze up like a computer does. All it takes is a battery pull to fix it. Very Normal. But you may have to many apps installed or too low of memory that will cause it to happen more than usual. List what apps you are running. Also, clear your messages, emails, call logs, etc..
