Whenever I enter a phone number when I'm calling someone, there is a beep after each number I enter. Is it possible to mute this so that I can make a phone call without noise? Thank you!

It's harder to do than you might think. There is no option to turn off the touch tones, but here is a technique you can use to accomplish the same thing:

Here is a thread that describes another technique that seems to work for some phone / OS combinations. It does not work for my Verizon 8830, so I can't verify it.

Yes holding the green call button then selecting use once then hold the green call button while typing does work on my curves.

Your post prompted me to try it again. Not only does the "use once" technique work, but so does using the "Quiet/Vibrate profiles" technique that's also described. I wonder what changed? Maybe I did something else wrong when I tried the techniques initially.
