Office Depot had SanDisk 4gb MicroSDHC cards on sale this week. After reading some of the post on this forum I thought it would be compatable with my new 8330.

When I put the card in it will not recognize it and says it may need to be formatted. When I tell it to format it I get an error saying formatting failed.

I do not have a card reader for it so I put it in my GPS and it recignized it okay.

My BB is running 4.5.0.77 OS. Is the HC type of card not compatable?

Any suggestions?

Yes, I have a 128mb microSD and it works fine. It is not the HC type of card.

Take it back and ask for a new one then.

as sunkast said take it back, i'm using a 8gig sdhc card just fine.

Yes, it is a bad card. I had bought two of them. I didn't want to open the other one until I knew it was compatable. I put the other card in and it works fine.

The only part that throws me off is that u say the 4gb works fine in your gps, so I dont see how the card itself is faulty. Try formatting the card on your computer first and see if that works. That or jus go back 2 the store and try a new card right there on the spot.

EDIT: Guess u figured it out....bad cards suck! But @ least u had 2! LOL
