I cant make my voice message alert have its own tone, it matches the sms text alert.

Under advanced then edit for the proper ringer - the message and the sms text show different alerts but they both play whatever is set as the sms text alert.

any ideas or ever heard of this?

Your voicemail alerts come through as SMS alerts so that is why they end up with the same tone.

is there no way to differentiate them?

and does it charge me for a sms text when i get a voicemail.
