I have an 8320 with a memory card. However, every other month the device cleans up my SMS and emails. How can overcome this issue of losing SMS's and emails?

First by recognizing that the memory card does not expand device
memory.

Check your free memory: options > status. It's the number for
File Free. That number needs to be greater tha 12,xxx,xxxmb. If
it is not perform a battery pull and then check your memory again.

A more permanent solution is to follow the memory optimization
guide in my signature.

Also in any message folder press menu > options > general settings
and check to see what Keep Messages is set for. If it is 30 days change
it to a period of time that suits you better.
