I have the bb 8330 from sprint, with the updated 4.5 op system. I wanna get a 2 or 4 gb card. Once I install the card, will it effect how the phone operates??? ( slower, etc)

I wanna get the card mainly for the Slacker cached songs that can be saved to the card!!

Might help actually. If you have stuff on the device memory (pictures, ringtones etc) that you have downloaded you can now move it over to the card and get back a little space.

like trem said, it will most definately improve the performance of your berry.. it is the most important peice of hardware you can buy for your phone. (hardware including cases/screen protectors etc).

You can actually get a larger one than 4 gb if you want. Here's a chart with media card limits and their respective OS...

BlackBerry Device Software version Media card size limit
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.0 Up to 2 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.1 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.2.2 Up to 4 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.3.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0 Up to 8 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.5.0.81 and later Up to 16 GB
BlackBerry Device Software 4.6.0 and later Up to 32 GB

Get the largest card you can afford. If your not on OS .81 or higher you might consider upgrading if you want to go bigger than 8GB's.
