I was at 4.5.0.131 and my 8330 would have about 30 MB free after a restart. I downloaded Memory Up Personal and that program said I have 52 MB of total memory with about 40 MB free. How can the program say one thing and the 8330 say another? Which one should I believe?

Next, I upgraded to 4.5.0.175 a little while ago and checked on my 8330 to see how much free memory I have and it said about 40 MB. After seeing that, I was thinking cool...this OS is smaller. I then check Memory Up Personal Edition and it says my total memory is at 62 MB with about 50 MB free. How can my main memory be increased when I did not physically add memory? Is RIM implementing some sort of data compression in order to increase the amount memory to allow larger OS'es?

    Any info. would be appreciated!

    Thank you,
