so i finally got my 4gb microSD card today, put it in my 8330 and plugged it into my computer, had mass storage mode thing on prompt figuring if it was on it wouldnt backuop, sync contacts, etc.. but it still does. so is there any reason i would ever choose to not put it in mass storage mode? it'd be much easier to just have it default to that.

Have mine defaulted to yes, never have had a problem syncing. I'm on a Mac.

I apparently dont even know what mass storage is. It seems like thats what the media card does. ( Store the big stuff? ) But the prompter says some things may not work in " this " mode. What does that mean?

If you're getting this message while it is plugged in, it's because you can't access the media files from the BB and from the computer at the same time while in Mass Storage Mode.

Mass storage mode allows Windows to see the media card. If it is disabled, Windows can not see the cards contents, a good thing if you are carrying around sensitive data.
