    Hi,

I came across many messenger threads but not this question.

I'm looking for a messenger app that runs AIM/iChat, Yahoo + anything else in great (ICQ). However, reading all of the threads on memory usage, I'd prefer something lightweight in resource usage, but that still is feature rich (ie. be able to send photos over it).

Any recommendations which of the handful of apps fit the bill the best?

    Thanks,
    Olia

The pretty much undisputed best IM app is JiveTalk.

This looks like a great app but I have a question. If you stay connected will it actually stay connected or does it timeout I whateveror does your provider disconnect you? Just curious if of stays on all the time like the sisekick aim.

Thanks. I had a hunch it wasn't one of the freebies.

The majority of users will say that it is certainly worth the cost.
