I have this small envelope where my notifications normally are. It looks like the email one, but I had a seperate one when I checked my email today. It could be voicemail, but when I called my own number I had no new messages. It isn't SMS, and my Messages folder doesn't have any unread messages. Any idea?

CHEck your BBM ICON to see if it has a red *. If it does does then someone is trying to BBM you

It does not. I don't see any apps with the red *s.

If that isnt it, see if you have a saved message. That happens sometimes too.

If the icon is hidden, it could be there. Scroll over an icon and hit menu>show all. See if it's there...

Sometimes the VM icon can get stuck on as well if this what it is. If you can be more descriptive of what the icon looks like it might us help you as well.

If it is the VM Icon try battery reset if this does not help call from another phone and leave a new VM, listen to it then delete it. Only have t do this if it is the VM icon. Although a battery reset never hurt anyone.

it may be a pin message in your message folder..
