Hi folks .. I've just upgraded from a Pearl 8130 to a Curve 8330, and I'm very happy with it ... EXCEPT ... just one (the most important one) of my various personal email accounts is not working ... it's an AOL email account, btw ...
The Curve acts like the email is fine, the BBerry website says it's fine, and the service books have been sent several times with success ... I can send email from this account to other emails just fine, and email gets delivered to the AOL web-based account, but it's not being pushed to my Curve for some reason ... anybody got any ideas on what that reason is?
login to the carriers bis site. BlackBerry Internet Service there you will se a change device option. enter teh new PIN# and ESN and the email service will be sent and it work fine. If you have a problem with call VZE tech and they can do it for you 800-922-0204 do not call from your device.
thanks, but I did try that ... though I may have screwed it up ... the BIS site asks for the ESN/MEID # ... and my Curve "Options/Status" gives both a decimal and a hexidecimal ESN ... I wasn't sure which one to use, but the Service Books came through for ALL email accounts so I assumed I did it right ...
