Alright so - since we can't set up custom tones for each person to send us a text - and I don't know about you BB owners, but I'm a heavy texter (last month was around 3,800.)

I found out I can't set a song or whatnot, cause I'll get so sick of hearing the same song.

So, my question is what Tone do you avid textrs use?

I like you am a heavy texter sooo I set everything on vibrate, but I started noticing that so much vibratin drains the life out of my battery so know I just have my alerts on silent at least as for as messages are concerend

I use the ringtone from the tv show The Unit... its short, and fairly loud... Not to mention everyone and their uncle uses the standard blackberry tones for their email and texts around here... So it stands out in a crowd.

And there is a way to personalize texts... its just a lengthy process... but you can personalize someones sms's, mms's, bbm's, emails....phone calls....

3500 is alot? i do about 7000 or 8000 a month and i thought i was a light texter! llol
but you can set separate tones for different users. you have to make separate profiles for each user. go to the sound profiles icon, and go to advanced options. you can do it from there. what i reccomend is googling it. youll find it fast

Phone: (Currently) I have "Bad Fever" by Asteroids Galaxy Tour, or "Hong Kong Garden" by Siouxie Sioux & the Banshee's. I had MJ's "P.Y.T", and Prince's "Raspberry Berret" last week. Otherwise, I have many different ringtones for different friends/family when they call. So I know when to answer and when to hit ignore!

In the off case that its not on vibrate like xdrox, i use greeter. Used to have it as some cartoony sounding guy yelling 'woo haha, text message!'
