RIM seems to have changed the downloads to force you to enter a device PIN in order to get your carrier's approved version.
RIM is getting hard*** on this downloading stuff, they are also incorporating code into their OS builds that discourage hybrid building.

...just go www dot blackberry dot com slash hhupgrade and punch in the PIN above.
Wonder how long before they disable that PIN. Lol.
Looks like they did you one better, fenix. www.blackberry.com/hhupgrade comes back with "The page you have requested has been moved or no longer exists." Grr. I just want new software

    Jeez, Cae, that sucks.
Can anyone here post it on Megaupload or some such, or is that against the forum's terms of service?

i found the download. Just go to blackberry.com and navigate your way as if sprint is your provider. You dont need a pin, I am downloading it right now.

    Cmbasurto, should be the following:

BlackBerry - BlackBerry Desktop and Device Software Download Sites

Scroll down to the bottom for a list of service providers, and just click on Sprint.
Should be good to go after that.

Worked perfect for me!! Thanks!!! Upgraded with no problems. So far, playing around with .175, it's a bit faster than .170 was, especially my browser. Haven't made any phone calls yet, so I can't comment on any chirp. 8330 on VZW.

I haven't had any chirps on this OS, yet.

I didn't lose any 3rd party apps except BBM 5.0.0.33, which was originally downloaded OTA. It showed up in my apps list under Options, Advanced Options, Applications, but the icon disappeared. I had to redownload it and approve overwriting the file that was already installed to get the icon back.

Hold on, I'm uploading the file to a hosting site now. I'll post the link in a few minutes in post #1.

RIM hasn't taken down the link to the Beta 5.0.0.230 yet, so it might be ok to post this file.
