Is there a keyboard shortcut that is the equivalent to pulling the battery to do a reset of the device? I'd rather not have to pop off the Seidio case every time it's needed. I've seen some talk about this here but cannot find it again.

I've also noticed that my 8330 will reboot if it is given a mild jolt when putting it down on a table or if it just get's tapped hard enough from whatever. Almost like there is a loose connection or the battery is not making a good contact or something.

    Thanks.

Alt + Shift + Del will do a soft reboot so that you won't have to take your cover off.

The double soft reset is closest you will get to a pull.

It appears the "Double soft reset" is the equivalent of a battery pull in the way that it restarts. The "soft reset" would be similar to logging off if compared to a computer, and is not a complete reboot.

Keep in mind that keyboard shortcut is, as stated earlier "closest you will get" to a pull. But when feasable, its always more thorough to do a battery pull

The double soft reset sure looks the same as a battery pull in the way the device reboots. I'll be doing the double method unless that doesn't seem to fix any problems that I may have.

sometimes when i do a soft reboot, my blackberry doesn't reboot and instead the screen stays black and my notification light blinks red in intervals... what does that mean? :/

Its gonna blink until it cycles, then black screen then bb logo and startup. You have to be patient it takes a while.

No. Not unless you are really rough with it. Why would it "mess up" your phone?
